Last Day in Cape May

See you next year, Cape May!

Yes, it was time to say good bye to Cape May.  We got up and took our final walk by the beach and then headed back to the room.  We like to do a sit down breakfast on our last morning.  So we ended our trip at the restaurant that started our trip, Tisha's.  

We started going to Tisha's for breakfast a few years ago and still enjoy it.  My sister and I shared a yogurt, fruit and granola parfait that was delicious and huge!  I also had pancakes.  The menu is a typical breakfast menu.  I have had eggs there as well as an egg and cheese sandwich.  None of us have been disappointed with any choices there.

After breakfast, it was time to pack the car and hit the road.  Just one more item of business to take care of:  re-booking for next year!   We have discovered that many of the favorite places in Cape May have clients that book a year in advance.  Before we discovered this, I used to call in January for our June vacation.  While we were always lucky enough to get a rooms, sometimes it wasn't always the rooms we wanted or we couldn't get two rooms next to each other.  So now we re-book our two rooms for the same week the following year as we check out.   It makes a easier to leave, knowing that we already have our reservations for the following year...ok, not a whole lot easier, but at least a little.
