As a retired teacher for children with autism for 27 years, I am well aware of the challenges families face when traveling. I am able to provide services that will help you and your family have a successful vacation.
Planning: For a family traveling with a child with special needs, preparation is essential. I can work with you to identify potential challenges and lay out a touring strategy that will fit best for your family
Visual Schedules: Many of my students use a visual schedule throughout their day. A vacation is completely different from their day to day routine and that can cause anxiety and behavioral issues. We can discuss what kind of schedule your child uses and what would work best for them while on vacation. I can create and send you a schedule made just for your child.

Special Needs Resources: I have gathered a listing of resources for traveling to Walt Disney World with a child with special needs. There are also an article with tips for air travel. Royal Caribbean is in the beginning stages of creating an autism friendly environment on all of their ships. There is a link that explains their current offerings.
